SRV Field Trip: Moorpark Zoo April 28th, 2024
Join us for an educational day at the Moorpark Zoo. Members will have behind the scenes talks and workshop throughout the day. Enjoy the zoo between presentations. Family and Friends welcome. Prepurchase tickets, be sure to use promo code AGRO for 50% discount on all tickets.
SRV 4-H Talent Show
Do you have a talent? SRV is hosting it's 1st SRV Talen Show at the May 13th meeting. If you have a talent we want to see it! We have 8 spots available. Members can share a song, dance, magic trick, skit or any other talent. Click here for the form to enter out talent show.
Club Field Trip:
Sunday November 12th 2:00-5:00
$15 pp
Meet at 2:00pm, special educational program at 2:30 just for our group then explore the Wildlife Center on your own. Wear your club T-shirts to show your 4-H spirit.
ARTS N Crafts Workshop:
Saturday October 21st 10:00-1:00
$7 pp (adults can participate too)
Kathleen Johnston from the Ventura Gourd Society will be here to teach us a little bit about the history of gourds and then each participant will get to paint their own gourd birdhouse to take home. All supplies will be provided.
(They make great entries at the Ventura County Fair as well.)
Community Service Opportunity:
Saturday October 7th 8:00-5:00
Our Club is hosting an outreach booth in the Kids Fun Zone. We will have an "Ask Me " table for kids who want to bring their animals to educate the public about their animals. We will have a "How Does a Plant Grow" activity and a table for general information about 4-H. We need club members to help man the booth. Each member can earn community service hourse for their shift at the booth. Booth Set up will be 8:00-9:00. Booth will be open to the public 12:00-4:00 and then tear down will be 4:00-5:00. If you can help please sign up for a shift at our next club meeting or email the club with what time you are available.
It's time to kick off the new year! Let's Flamingle once again as we celebrate the new year and meet and greet some new families! Do you have a friend you'd like to introduce to 4-H? This is the perfect event. We will announce the projects available for the new year. Project leaders will be present to talk about what they have planned for the year and answer any questions you may have.
Please bring your Fair awards to show and share! It's going to be another great year!
