Welcome to Santa Rosa Valley 4-H

 What is 4-H?

4-H is a national youth organizantion where members ages 5-19 learn by doing. Our members complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, animal science and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.

The Santa Rosa Valley 4-H club 

We welcome members from all over Ventura County.  Through hands-on- learning and positive youth-adult partnerships, our members acquire knowledge and develop life skills that enable them to find and focus their energy into their passions while also giving back to their community.  Our club boasts over 20 different projects that youth members can participate in, all led by passionate adult and teen leaders.  Members in our club attend a monthly community  meeting and participate in various "projects" of their choosing during the month. Members also engage in community service projects and service learning opportunities through out the year.

We Grow Leaders

We believe "leaders are not born, they are grown". Our club is run by our Executive Youth Board who work in partnership with the  Adult leadership team to plan and provide an inclusive, meaningful program. In addition to our E.Y.B. some of our projects are led by teens under the mentorship of an adult leader as well. Youth members are encouraged to join committees or hold a Board Position to have their voice heard.  Leadership and Speech & Presentation are just two of the projects we offer. Whether your child is interested in animals, art, baking, community service, outdoor adventure or science we have something for everyone.
